Specimen Observations
Elegant Lace is certainly a marketing name for this Globba. I’m sure other collectors have this species in their gardens and call it something else. When I purchased it it was labeled Lavender Lace. No matter though, it is beautiful plant. It has the largest inflorescence of all my Globbas with the flowers held seven inches apart! The color of the bracts is more of a pale pink than lavender.
Common Name: Dancing Lady

Globba 'Elegant Lace' is growing in a raised bed getting bright indirect light. When I bought the plant, it had two stalks in the pot. After dormancy, at the beginning of the following season I was able to divide it into four plants. All are doing well.
