Curcuma harmandii has a beautiful green inflorescence which contrasts with the loud colors of other curcumas. The bracts form deep wells which catch rain water.

Curcuma harmandii is in bright shade. It is planted in a raised bed with rich well draining soil and is watered everyday via timed drip irrigation. It is fertilized lightly with fish emulsion.
