Nymphaea helvola

Specimen Observations

Size listed is above the water line. Nymphaea helvola gets about 4 hours of direct midday sun and has a 1-2 foot spread. The stamens are a little difficult to photograph. The flowers are held above the water line and are closed by late afternoon.

Common Name: Water Lily

Date Acquired: 2002-06

Culture:

Nymphaea helvola gets about 4 hours of direct midday sun but prefers full sun. The trade-off in my pond is that it has fewer blooms. Also, those blooms don't stay open as long as they would in full sun.

Zone: 4-10

Size: 3 inches

Color: white
