Pond Plants

A little about the Pond

The Ginger Garden has a pond, in fact over the next few months when everything begins to wind down, I will redesign the above ground pond I have now to an in-ground one.

Water plants in the Ginger Garden are only natural. The lushness of the gingers around me demands there be a water feature. The tropical feeling is enhanced by the pond.

The pond gets about four hours of direct afternoon sun in the summer. When the pecan tree begins to drop its leaves, a net is placed over the pond to keep it clean. In the spring the net goes back up until the tree finishes blooming.

It's not the best set-up but I work with what I have.
