Aristolochia elegans

Specimen Observations

Elegans kind of just popped up where it is now growing. Rather than pull it up and plant in a more favorable location, I let it go. Good thing since it blooms profusely where it is.

Common Name: Dutchman's Pipe

Date Acquired: 1997-06-12

Culture:

Aristolochia Elegans is growing in a shady spot in the Ginger garden. Although it prefers a sunny location, it is perfectly happy where it is under the pecan tree. It is watered frequently.

Zone: 9

Size: Large Vine

Color: Burgundy Yellow
